Maybe You Like Potatoes A Lot
Just a mile from downtown there's a potatoe joint called Potatoe Place and they have big ass potatoes topped with whatever you can name to put on them. I personally like the pepperoni and mozarella topped potatoe with lots of butter and a strawberry banana smoothie to wash it all down. But...whatever you do...make sure you bring cash only because that's all they take for payment. Since this place is located on Warren across the street from Wayne State University's Welcome Center, do bring change for the parking meter and ear plugs for the mobile phone users that'll be telling all their business and other peoples too. I wouldn't plan on dining in, though there are a few tables and chairs. It's not a relaxing and cozy place to eat and it looks like it should be carryout only.
Sushi & Dancing At The Same Place
If you are looking to eat and dance in the same place, you definitely have to go to Club Ignite in the MGM Grand Casino in downtown Detroit. The waitresses are not all that nice but the sushi is very good. The sushi is so good that I've tried just about every sushi dish on the menu. I've even tried eel and eel sauce and I like it. The sushi is pricey but if you go between 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. all the sushi is half off. After you've stuffed your belly with sushi, please eat the ginger and wash your hands before you hit the dance floor.
One Of The Best Places To Eat In Detroit City
Downtown Detroit is transforming into the place to be on any given day or night for parties, lunch, dinner and social events. However many people don't know their way around downtown Detroit and therefore, they miss all that the city has to offer especially the best places to eat. One of my favorite restaurants downtown is Wahoo. Wahoo is a sushi restaurant that also serves asian cooked dishes. It's sexy, romantic and impressive but mostly it's tucked away on Shelby and Congress just northeast of Cobo Hall. You'd want to go to Wahoo as soon as you can and order the Mu Shu with chicken.
